1. What is the prize?

Recharge your phone for the first time on amazon.ae or on the Amazon shopping app and get a chance to win an AED 1,000 Amazon.ae Gift Card.

starting the week of April 4 and until the week of June 27.

Only first time recharge customers are eligible to win a prize. Complete your first successful recharge on amazon.ae or on the Amazon shopping app   for a minimum amount of AED 10.

Terms & Conditions – Mobile Recharge Prize Draw

Eligibility

The Prize Draw is open to residents of the United Arab Emirates excluding (a) anyone connected in a professional capacity with the Prize Draw and that person’s immediate family members, and (b) employees and contractors of Amazon or its affiliates. Entrants must be aged 21 years or older. Entrants are required to have an Amazon.ae account.

By participating in the Prize Draw, you provide your express consent and acceptance of these terms and conditions, any amendments to them, and the decisions of Amazon, which are final and binding in all respects. Amazon reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from the Prize Draw if, in its sole judgement, the entrant has not complied with these terms and conditions, has tampered with the operation of the Prize Draw, or has engaged in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Amazon, the Prize Draw, or any other participant in the Prize Draw.

Prize

There are 13 prizes to be won (each, a “Prize”), each consisting of an AED 1,000 Amazon.ae Gift Card. The Amazon.ae Gift Card will be credited to the winner’s Amazon.ae account.

Please note:

The winners of each Prize may be required to share with Amazon valid proof of identity and age in the form of a copy of Emirates ID / UAE Driving License.

The Prizes carry no cash value and may not be transferred or substituted, except that Amazon may, at its sole discretion, substitute any Prize won with a prize of equal or greater value.

Any unclaimed Prize remains the property of Amazon.

Opening/Closing Date & Time

The Prize Draw opens to entries at 12:00 a.m on 4 April, 2021, and closes at 11:59 p.m Dubai time on 3 July, 2021 (the “Prize Draw Period”).

 

How to Enter Amazon UAE 1000 AED Giftcard Contest 

To enter, you need to successfully recharge your pre-paid mobile for the first time on the Amazon.ae site or mobile application for at least AED 10 during one of the Promotion Periods listed above.

Winner Selection

Amazon will, in its sole discretion, select the Prize winners (each a “Winner”) at random during each Promotion Period during the Prize Draw Period. Prize Winners will be selected on each Result Date (as set out above) during the Prize Draw Period from among the eligible customers who have completed a recharge of their pre-paid mobile for the first time on the Amazon.ae site or mobile application during that Promotion Period. Each Winner will be notified through email or by phone (“Notification”). The Prize will be credited to the Winner’s Amazon.ae account within 14 days following the Result Date.

If a selected Winner (or any substitute winner) is ineligible or cannot be reached within 30 days of receiving the Notification, that Winner (or substitute winner) will forfeit the Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner. The substitute winner will be selected in the same way the initial Winner was selected, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. If, having attempted to contact a Winner and a substitute winner, Amazon is unable to award a Prize, Amazon reserves the right to consider the Prize unclaimed.

This process is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Non-winners will not be notified.

By entering the Prize Draw you consent to Amazon (i) contacting you using the phone number and/or e-mail address associated with your Amazon.ae account and (ii) passing your details to the Prize Provider and any relevant third party for the purpose of contacting you in the event you are a Winner.

By accepting a Prize, entrants consent to the use of their name, county of residence, likeness or Prize information for promotional and other reasonable purposes without further payment, except where prohibited by law. A Winner may be requested to participate in Amazon’s reasonable marketing and promotional activities. By entering the Prize Draw, you expressly consent to any photos or videos of events connected with the Prize that may be posted on Amazon.ae Social Media Accounts.

If you are a Winner and you submit any material, including but not limited to photographs, videos or testimonials, to Amazon for use or publication in connection with Amazon’s reasonable marketing and promotional activities (including but not limited to Amazon’s official social media activities) you consent to Amazon’s use of such material and waive any right you may have to inspect or approve such activities and you release and discharge Amazon from any claims or liability relating to Amazon’s reasonable use of your material.

Miscellaneous

(a) Amazon or Prize Provider or Prize Promoter: Souq.com FZ LLC or any of its affiliates (“Amazon”) is the promoter of the Prize Draw.

(b) Privacy Notice: All information submitted in connection with this Prize Draw will be treated in accordance with these terms and conditions and Amazon’s Privacy Notice.

(c) Waiver of Liability: Amazon will not be responsible or liable for: (i) any failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or other conditions beyond their reasonable control; (ii) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (iii) any disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond their reasonable control; (iv) any postponement, delay or changes that may impact on the Prize caused by events beyond their reasonable control; or (v) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Prize Draw.

(d) General Release: By entering the Prize Draw you release Amazon, relevant third parties, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agencies, from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Prize Draw or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, except as prohibited by law.

(e) Amendment: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Amazon reserves the right to change these rules or cancel the Prize Draw at any time, in its sole discretion.

(g) Conditions of Use & Sale: The Amazon.ae Conditions of Use & Sale apply.

(h) Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dubai International Finance Centre (“DIFC”).

If any dispute, claim, difference or controversy arising out of, relating to or having any connection with these terms and conditions, or the existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach or termination and/or any dispute relating to any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them (for the purpose of this section, a “Dispute”) qualifies for determination through the DIFC Small Claims Tribunal (“SCT”), then the SCT shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such Dispute. For Disputes that do not qualify for determination through the SCT, the courts of the DIFC shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle such Dispute and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the DIFC. For the purposes of this section, you waive any objection to either the courts of the DIFC or the SCT, as applicable, on the grounds that either of them is an inconvenient or inappropriate forum to settle any Dispute.
