Explore Bur (old) Dubai

Explore Bur (old) Dubai

Situated on the western side of Dubai Creek, Bur Dubai is the part of the city as well as its historical center. Much effort has been placed to preserve the old houses and the museum a must-visit is to understand the history of UAE. Proceed into Al Bastakiya and spend some time walking around and speak with the locals, drink some local coffee and enjoy the Dubai heat (during winters).

Old Souks, including Gold Souk

Old Souks, including Gold Souk

Once done with the glitzy modern Dubai, it is time to get in the core of Dubai that is old, and there isn't any better way! The previous markets are known as souks and they're great for shopping, observing the life pass-by and photography in addition to simply walking around. I can actually spend days here without getting bored!

Mornings at Dubai Creek

Mornings at Dubai Creek

This was the most unexpected discovery of Dubai for me personally, and guide-books that are no ever talked about it. Get up until the sun rises and head outside to Dubai Creek - from where Dubai originally started the area. It's only great to sit and see the sunrise and the seagulls fly all over the sky. I made this movie that was fast there and this gives you a clearer idea about what this area looks like in the daytime.

 Fish shopping at Deira

 Fish shopping at Deira

Whether or not you want to actually buy fish or not, I would recommend a visit to the Deira fish industry. This is where you'll see the freshest of produce when it comes to markets. The ideal time to see for photography is early in the morning. Here's another movie showing the place.

Sand-dune bashing- adventures to do in uae

Sand-dune bashing
This one is for the thrill and adventure seekers. How about sitting at an SUV driving up and down throughout the majestic and sand dunes of Dubai on speed to give you that adrenaline rush?
