Burj Khalifa - The World's Tallest Building
Dubai is famous for sightseeing attractions such as the Burj Khalifa (completed in 2010) which is at 829.8 meters. It is the World’s tallest Skyscraper. It has about 163–165 Floors. Only up to floor 154 is open for Guests and Employees. Burj Khalifa has 2957 parking spaces, 304 hotels, and 900 apartments!
It is the tallest building in the world and the most famous of the city's points of interest. It contains a total of 57 elevators and 8 escalators. It is designed to be the centerpiece of large-scale, mixed-use development. The decision to construct the building is based on the government's decision to diversify from an oil-based economy, and for Dubai to gain international recognition. The slick observation deck experience includes a multimedia presentation on both Dubai and the building of the Burj Khalifa before high-speed elevator whizzes you up to the observation deck for those 360-degree views out across the skyscrapers to the desert on one side and the ocean on the other. Burj Khalifa is surrounded by an 11 ha (27-acre) park designed by landscape architects SWA Group. Like the tower, the park's design was based on the flower of the Hymenocallis, a desert plant. At the center of the park is the water room, which is a series of pools and water jet fountains. Benches and signs incorporate images of Burj Khalifa and the Hymenocallis flower.
